St. Nicholas Church and its 500 volunteers invite you to enjoy a cultural experience for the entire family with live music, dancing, gourmet food, homemade pastries, cooking demonstrations, children’s activities, a Greek market, and a variety of shopping boutiques. Boasting a three-day average of 50,000 guests, the admission-free fundraiser is the largest festival of its kind in the area. So make the most of your Memorial Day weekend and immerse yourself in the cultural vision that is the 36th Annual Valley Greek Festival.

So much to do, so much to see, so much to eat!

Nine booths featuring Mediterranean cuisine such as:

Calamari - Greek seafood delicacy

Dolmathes - grape leaves stuffed with rice

Gyros - beef and lamb served in pita with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki, a sauce made with yogurt, garlic, and shredded cucumbers

Loucanico - Greek sausage seasoned with orange rind and lemon juice sautéed and served with feta cheese, olives and bread

Moussaka - eggplant, potato and ground beef casserole topped with a white cheese cream sauce

Pastitsio - Greek lasagna with meat, pasta and a white cheese cream sauce

Souvlaki - marinated beef brochettes skewered and barbecued

Greek Chicken - grilled with garlic, oregano, olive oil, and lemon

Spanakopita - spinach, feta eggs, and Romano cheeses baked in a crispy filo dough

Remember to save room for dessert! The women of the church have graciously prepared 14 varieties of more than 48,000 pastries. In addition, loucoumathes, also known as Greek doughnuts, will be freshly prepared and there will be plenty of Greek coffee to accent the sweets. Specialty food products will be for sale at the Greek market, which is also the venue for several cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend.

Once you have finished eating, stop by the numerous vendors who will be selling regional music, clothes, jewelry and pottery. Keep the kids entertained with the games and youth activities, and make sure to take a scheduled tour of St. Nicholas Church. Youth group dancers will perform and guests are welcome to participate in the many folk dances as live musicians play traditional Greek tunes.
